ballerina
Quinn asked me to watch him twirl and spin like diarrhea. It took me a few minute to realize he meant ballerina rather than diarrhea. Very funny.

i want to be your superhero
Q and I are rocking out to Jane’s Addiction this morning while we cook eggs and bagels. I’m the guitar and he’s the drums. Recently, he’s been pretending to be things like frogs and dogs which is quite entertaining. Also, he’s pretended to be super heros that ’save the day’. Comical.
Wednesday, T and I had the day off. We went swimming, to Toys ‘r’ Us and then to sushi. After we went gallery hopping, we stopped by Ten01 for french fries and ice cream. A wonderful rainy day.
Q has been shopping for Christmas gifts in his holiday catalogs. There is no end to all that he wants. He bought a number 8 race car this week and the board game Hi Ho Cherry O. He’s become quite fond of board games recently. Starting to sound out words. Hopefully reading comes easily.
Off to more fun with Q. xo

November weekend
Getting frustrated that we have not gotten pregnant yet. Started another month of clomid today. And I”m going to chart my temperature this month. Hopefully the FMA method will do the trick.
Today is a wonderful Sunday at home…potato leek soup, pesto, and some salmon. Yum. Quinn is napping and Tyler is at the gym so I get some personal time.
I’ve been thinking about a potential job opportunity in private equity….personal care product focus. Quinn’s best friend’s mom said she can make the connection for me. Intriguing to me….especially since I’m working on the kid’s skincare line ‘Sugar Boogar Bear’. Actually I’m sending some packaging containers to Virginia in NC to size up the labels she’s creating for me. Very fun.
Work is plodding along. My official migration from Finance to Strategy starts tomorrow. I’m excited about the shift. We’ll see where it takes me.
Been thinking a lot about a move to NC recently. Once we (hopefully) have a baby, we’ll need to move. Will the move be to another home in Portland, or to NC? As usual, I want to know now rather than waiting it out and letting it unfold naturally. Patience, Kristi.
Will we be able to begin traveling again soon? I miss jet-setting. Sigh.
More soon.
xoxo, k

5 years
Tomorrow is my 5 year wedding anniversary. I suppose it’s made me a bit reflective today. Whew, how time flies. Tyler and I have been through so much in the last five years. Both good and bad. Glad the bad is behind us…I do feel our marriage is stronger for having gone through it and learned from it….’it’ being a very big job transition for Tyler and all of the accompanying financial turmoil associated with that. As I look back with increasing perspective, I can see why we needed to go through that experience (as painful as it was).
I’m excited to continue to feel that things are moving in a positive direction. Tyler slows me down and provides balance for me where I need it. He allows me to plan and manage and work on my ‘projects’ while he takes on a more supportive role. It’s a nice fit.
It’s been a wonderful experience to watch T become a father. Quinn so loves his daddy and Tyler is so good with him. Nightly doses of ’sackman’ and tackling are very funny. But my favorite are teh hugs and kisses. Precious.
Currently trying for baby #2. Hope all goes well…healthy, happy, 10 fingers and toes, etc.
We’re headed to SunRiver to celebrate this weekend. Looking foward to some down time with my boys.
